My cat disliked canned cat food .. even the good stuff. To let me know her true feelings, she would make covering-up motions with her paw when I offered it to her.

But she loved the people-food variety of canned salmon, and I opened a can of it often enough that she would have a Pavlov's-cat reaction when she heard the can opener. :)

My roommate started to ring a little bell before giving the cat his treats. So if she wants him to come, she just needs to ring the bell. Of course than he expects treats.
