I agree with you completely. How about trying the following for size? A lot of "emotional" physics is involved. Soon after 9/11, America was crying for vengeance. With some justification, it went to attack the Taliban in Afghanistan. But the Taliban "gave up" too easily. And feeling macho and eager to exact revenge against Al-Qaeda (or so it would seem), America invaded Iraq. Unfortunately, the emotional physics is still not spent. Hence the perceived need to attack Iran and finding reasons to attack Iran. LOL .
