You know I threw that in my picks of the
quarter contest only because I noticed it
was trading down around book value. I don't
know a damn thing about it, so even though
it is just a paper contest and I've never
owned it, I thought I'd lock in the gain.
Maybe I can game something a little and
have a shot at winning that thing.

I'm surprised, at last check I think I was in
4th place out of something around 30 folks.
Nice that sgxp hit the mark, no so nice that
I never bothered to look into it and buy some.

I'm going to re-evaluate glgc based on
what I hear on the quarterly conference
call Friday. I sold shares today, and
if I hear the right things, I will be
buying the shares right back (perahps at
higher prices).

Too damn nervous about it running up on
no information into the call, I've seen
too many things flame out upon earnings.

I am going all cash in the "picks of the
quarter contest"--and would buy an inverse
bond fund if they allowed it (they disallowed
it last summer when I tried to buy one)
--but I am going to do that in the real world.

I see higher rates, lower stocks, and real estate
deflation. Individual stocks, well you know what
ones I like, and who am I to say anyway?
