What evidence?

Of course Iraq harbored terrorists.....Abu Nidal and Abu Abbas as two examples.....Salman Pak was a terror training center

Maybe we should have looked into his heart?

We can't look into one's heart, we can only observe one's actions, only God can look into man's heart for what may be hiding there. Unless you meant to have a cardiologist examine the guy, but why spend the money?

We have created a monster.

I don't agree, you can't say that unless your name is Dr. Frankenstein... actually, sadam insane himself was the monster for what he did to his own people...

Morally you have to decide why we invaded Iraq. It was NOT because of terrorist - you are just wrong about that. The public has been spoon fed a constantly changing reason. The most recent reason for the invasion is to create a democracy. But they don't want a democracy! If you allow them to vote (which is the cornerstone of any democracy) they will vote to hook up with Iran. Why? Because most people in Iraq are Shia - the same as Iran. If we allow the democratic Shia nation to form - what becomes of the Sunni? ........We have created a monster.

Yes i can see that allowing a man who rewards the families of suicide bombers and kills hundreds of thousands of people is indeed the government that the United States should support.
I have to say Steve that you have certainly grabbed the moral high ground in your support of Saddam.
