Al Qaeda was operating in Iraq, just as Hamas and Hezbolla were. There's a famous AQ training camp in Northern Iraq that has been written about extensively.

Bush said that saddam supported alqueda...in fact this small group had NOTHING to do with saddam, no connection at all.

It has also beed said "extensively" that there are alqueda cells in the states, or most any other nation.

Considering that Saddam didn't have control over Northern Iraq, it is hard to see how this links Al Qaeda to Saddam.
