Well one way for the democrats to win over the military vote would be to force through some significant changes to the VA system. It would be the intelligent thing to do. However it is as if an invisible hand has them by the throat and is preventing them from doing so, and from doing what the people elected them to do... scale out of the war. Instead we have a surge and a token empty objection to it.

Problem is that the dems are bribed by the very same background players that bribe the repubs, so you basically get the same initiatives moved forward.

Why is lobbying legal anyway?
