You're nuts. SIRI's Q4 is going to be horrendous. Over a billion in loss. That's bad, any way you look at it.

¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿ Dude!! I think you are lose'n it. SIRI's Q4 loss is going to be no where near a Billion Dollars. Now, I wouldn't say that their FY loss won't be near a Billion.. But, for just Q4?? I think your loopy.

However, as I pointed out a few days ago.. With Facts and figures from the SEC statements.. You are attempting to compare XM's loss with a larger subscriber base vs. SIRI who has been in a large growth spike. Like I pointed out.. If you compare losses from a comparable period in absolute numbers. SIRI's losses are not that far out of line with the losses that XM chalked up over the same subscriber growth period. Of course.. You don't like that data, and chose to ignore it, and instead chose to continue on with your yelling and screaming at the top of your lungs.

But, you fail to mention that SIRI reached Positive Cash Flow form operations 1.6 million subscribers earlier than XM did.

"Buying" was in a media account of the transaction. "Buying" suggests "money". SIRI has no money.

What's the problem with that concept.. Happens all the time.. All stock transactions that is. Are you sure you have any experience at all in M/A's??

Could have just as easily been XM's and would have made NO difference whatsoever. From a practical point of view, it is easier to issue SIRI shares to XM's 20K shareholders than it is to issue XM shares to SIRI's 900,000 shareholders. The net result is identical regardless of how you do it.

Nice attempt at damage control.. Your "practical point of view" is good for a laugh. But, you are missing the crucial point here.. One that media has picked up on, and is why they make that claim.. And that is.. Mel will be the in charge.. You see, typically, when one company buys another. The acquirers managment is ultimatly in charge. And in this case.. That is SIRIUS Management.

The other probelm with using SIRIUS stock for currency is share price.. If you issue all of those shares, your still going to be sub $5. I don't think all of XM's "institutional investors" are going to be too happy about that, until the can get the whole thing spun into a new issue.

At this point, I believe this deal (for XM) is the worst move in sat radio since the Stern deal. It is just as big a blunder IMO. SIRI definitely out negotiated XM's management IMO.

Actually, I beleive it was a last ditch effort. When the forward estimates are provided, this stock was headed down, down, down.. So at least they can lean on SIRIUS to provide some sort of growth story and support the stock. IMO
