Pete, that's an utter fabrication. Where do you get this stuff?

The longer Intel waits, the larger the drop will be. Now its stock would go down to $10-12 a share. In a quarter or two, it'll drop into the single digits. Mostly because Intel will lose money over the year.

Who would have thought that was even possible before? Intel losing more money than AMD ever did.

???

Come back to reality.

Pete,

I don't really get that excited about write-offs of Intel chips. Intel does not need to write them off, just slow down the wafer starts and inventory will reduce itself.

And it is not like some ticking time bomb. Intel is still selling Netburst based Celerons, P4Ds etc at low prices. Most of these are downbinned.

Yeah, these chips are obsolete, compared to current mainstream K8 and Conroe parts, but they are sold cheaply in the low end, where the only consideration is price.
