Not after 9/11. Of course, prior to 9/11, Gore probably WOULDN'T have cut the anti-terroism budget, would have been LISTENING to and not demoted Richard Clarke, and might well have "shaken the trees" and smoked out the 9/11 terrorists before they ever struck. A policy wonk like Gore would have READ all the PDB's. The FBI had the data they needed to do the job, buried down in their system.

Bush had anti-terrorism back-burnered before 9/11. It was a silly, low priority, "Clinton" concern. Gore wouldn't have..
