embassies and ships are now better protected. I think none have been damaged since???? security has been tightened. Some have been attacked but no major damage since. WTC perps brought to justice and security tightened. Yes, that really saved the WTC, didn't it? And only some of the perps were caught, and that mostly because they were stupid. The bombmaker fled to Baghdad, where he found safe haven. Can't comment on Khobar towers. Iran did it via Hizbullah. Still unpunished.
