folks were advocating until recently.

This whole idea of buying carbon credits must be the funniest thing I've ever heard. It's a way of being self-indulgent (at least from the POV of emitting *carbon*)and assuaging the conscience at the same time. People fool themselves into thinking they've cancelled out their perceived environmental *crimes*...lol

Why not just ask forgiveness and say 5 Hail Mary's?
Confession is good for the soul and is probably just as effective wrt gobal warming as buying carbon credits<g>

I continue to wait for press conference showing photographs of the hollywood moguls' 20,000-30,000 square feet mansions with all these solar panels. Should happen any day now.

Right after they sell their shiny black Hummers and Escalades which are parked next to their silver Priuses.
