more likely spec shorts...the commercials will sit on this market till the long specs reach their position limits, which are not applicable to the short commercials, and the market will break...over and over we have seen this, only a matter or time. My thought is that the the institutions and hedgies sell options into miner rallies against long Gold futures and GLD positions and that is why we see miners trail the metal...

I thought that "short covering by the commercials" idea is strickly for beginners (g)

What's your current thinking? IMO, too much optimism on the boards - which is not surprising, juniors are doing well - and some very well :). Still, starting to remind spring 06 :(
