Is the jewish religion more mysterious than others? Folks are really intrigued with it. Are other religions more clear cut on these issues? I am one of those secular jews who dont like to be pushed around by the orthodox.

The Orthodox Rabbinate has official power in Israel, so only Orthodox conversions are recognized.

Really? So someone who married a non-Orthodox Jew, and converted, is NOT entitle to Israeli citizenship?
