Those would certainly be strange, but they are not the type of prediction that natural selection makes. The essence of Darwin's ideas is Descent with Modification. This means that new species are going to be an awful lot like the species which were their ancestors. No mammals have birds as ancestors, so you wouldn't expect any mammal to suddenly get characteristics from birds (barring artificial DNA manipulations). When you do get a mammal that flies they have to derive that abilities from properties that are present in their ancestors, like arms and stretchy skin that allows a bat to fly.

Evolutionary theory will be in trouble when pigs fly.
