i keep coming back to running off before Afghanistan was finished .. what do you expect to be finished in Afghanistan. You have a border with Pakistan like iran with iraq and syria like Iraq. We did get agreement from other countries to replace american troops in Afghanistan and pledges of big money to help the country get on its feet. imo if stayed in Afghanistan it wouldn't be much different than it is today. Iraq and saddam were waving wmd. all he had to do was comply in order to avoid Americans coming into his country. I cannot accept Bush ran off to iraq. i do not think we had many troops in Afghanistan to run off with. Wasn't most of the fight with special forces, air power and Afghans? Today there isn't much of the country that is really safe outside a few large cities. Otherwise we still have tribes , drug lords running their territories. imo to pull out of Iraq and concentrate on Afghanistan are, words of regard, for political purposes only. Why not just suggest we pull out from all these places and build up defenses in the united states,, perhaps next cut back on trade, protect jobs going to india, china all those other countries. My vote is Rudy as i feel he will support security and the troops. Can't go with clinton any longer she voted for the war, now says i was tricked and wants troops starting to come out in 90 days. another flip flop. i feel Mccain flips and flops too depending on polls or trying to get Bush people to help him win , he eats a lot of crow,, too bad it is all on film , to remind us next year during the campaign. In closing i hardly call Iraq a functioning society before we went into the country.. Saddam killed more of his people than anyone who was murdered in Afghanistan by Taliban. We went in to get Al Q. and Saddam had some training camps in operation in the north of Iraq i believe experimenting with chemical warfare. Had a head of Al Q right in baghdad and was negotiating with Al Q according to some reports. and the world thought he had wmd. too bad, so many second guess their votes now.. oh, they were completely fooled. g
