not to mention that amd would lose their patent cross license with intel if they file bankruptcy.

It would be a huge blow. OTOH wiping out debt would be a huge gain.

If the company does go in to bankruptcy if future prospects are dimmed, I'm not denying that, I'm just saying that they can't be safely assumed to be zero. The main dimming would be prior to bankruptcy, continued severe losses over time, plus cutting back expenses which would probably have to cut the "muscle" not just the fat, would hurt the company, not the bankruptcy itself.
