That's a paraglider - yup - that could happen easy. Much different than a hang glider. Paragliders are really just like parachutes and could easy be held aloft - not as sensitive to yaw/roll and all that.
Basically in a paraglider you could get sucked up, kept up and if you woke up before you came down you could land it. Could imagine you'ld be a little foggy noodled from lack of oxygen (most people who fly these things are anyways - me included) but yeah doing it in a paraglider's believeable.
Wouldn't work on a hang glider though - pretty much have to keep your hand(s) on the control bar while your cruisin or your gonna be a bruisin...
