Yes, the second floor has a trophy room. Takes up perhaps 1/3 of the floor.

Actually if you are staying in New York it's an ideal place. The upper floors are apartments. For members, the cost is less than staying at a hotel. I believe you can rent a room as a guest of a member. I don't know what the added premium is however.

One pain is that you must have a jacket on unless you are in the athletic areas. So if you are going out dressed casual you have to use the athletic elevator and exit through the wrestling & fencing area.

I think the club total on gold medals is somewhere around 128. It may be more. I know there were 5 Golds in Athens, 11 all total. They've been sponsoring athletes since the first modern Olympics.
