She's "Judy" at 11! I wonder what has happened to her.

One of the problems with AI is that it is picking up talent like this at 16 or 17, having it make the "top ten," and then lose out to older singers at the end. Then they are not available later. They may have to change the rules down the line because of this.

This girl will not make it to AI. She will have a major career going shortly. In the old days, she would be on the MGM lot right now.

I forwarded to my sister who has been singing and teaching singing for over 30 years, her response to me:

Unfortunately, she is ruining her voice just as Charlotte Church did by singing repertoire not suited to her age. Basically what she is doing is imitating another singer and damaging her voice. They’ll exploit her and make several CD’s and she’ll be forgotten in a few years.
