This excellent article goes to the heart of things, especially the manner in which the referral for prosecution by the CIA was handled. There was technically no reference to any statute or any information provided to the DOJ by the CIA, simply a statement that a CIA employee's identity had been revealed, which I should think was woefully inadequate, but gave the CIA lots of CYA while giving the DOJ carte blanche to look for a crime, any crime, within the White House.

The prosecution was a joke. If Libby gets convicted, he will be the equivalent of collateral damage because it is obvious that the referral was a joke:

There was nothing to find in Niger. As I told you, there was no exporting of yellowcake to Iraq under the international consortium. The entire thing was a fake. Everyone knows that now except, apparently, you.

You keep wanting to parse everything but you keep missing the important part: there was absolutely no need to invade Iraq and topple Saddam when it came to USA security. Stop missing the gist of the situation by putzing around the periphery.

As I remember, Cheney asked for more info and the CIA sent Wilson who was not an operative of the CIA. Cheney's inquiry resulted in Wilson's being sent.

As I told you before you imbecile, Wilson was an ambassador, he knew the country and had contacts there. He was very qualified to go there and his wife had no authority to send him there.

You keep missing THE FACTS. This is because THE FACTS are 100% against you and the lies of the Bush administration. This is why you're not credible Nadine. I believe you are actually insane because you cannot tell, in your rage and anger, reality from propaganda.

Oh baloney. The Brits ARE LEAVING.

Feith has not been proven correct. Saddam was a secular dictator.
