I think more recent data is more relevant than going back to Jurasic era, such as recent ice ages:

There seems to be a 100,000 year pattern, and it seems we have not quite reached the anticipated peek in temperatures of the current cycle. Or maybe it should be called a sub-cycle, if there is a longer term cycle.

So we may be nearing the warmest point in sub-cycle, but in the cold part of longer term cycle...
