I don't see why we should pay any tax at all. After all, its "my" money. We don't need a government. We don't need national defense, or police or firemen. We don't need courts and jails. We don't need any of that socialist crap. Don't stop with the AMT -- repeal all taxes and let all hard working Americans enjoy what they have coming to them -- a country without a functioning government. Its done wonders for Iraq. You could start your own militia!

We also have a Bush death tax bomb, a bush cap gains and dividends bomb and a bush marginal rate bomb all coming soon. Lets me fair, all politicians move the tax hike ball down the road for the next guy. Bush tax cuts start disappearing after he leaves office.

Assuming that you fully understand how the AMT works, are you rejecting the fact that the Bush tax cuts indeed had the unintended consequence of bouncing an increasing number of the middle class into paying an AMT?
