Metacomet, I take the view that the incredible upturn in the majority of UR stocks is not froth , but the recognition that there is a severe supply/demand imbalance for uranium (i.e. U308) and there are some incredible bargains to be had . I also believe that what we are really witnessing here is the very early stages of an entirely new paradigm for world energy. The age of hydro-carbons for energy is coming to an end* and we are in the nascent stages of energy from metals (Uranium and in a few years Thorium).

But, more specifically regarding UR stocks, I strongly recommend that everyone do a "back of the envelope calculation" on some of the current uranium producers, near producers and advanced exploration companies ** -- using reasonably conservative assumptions. You will find that these stocks actually are undervalued by an order of several multiples particularly in light of the recent increase in the spot price of U3O8. This is what is really happening regarding the surge is prices, IMHO

Cheers

PS Do also buy some THPW at these ridiculously low prices. Doesn't THPW own thorium mines?

* Don't get me wrong HC's will still be here for generations but we will be seeing an accelerating decline over the coming decades IMHO.

** The junior explorers are much more of a cra*shoot. Some of these ARE frothy, IMHO.

I share your thoughts on this. I have looked around and come up with little.

However, I don't think having a position in a specific miner will be that important. Given the fact that thorium is fairly common many of the large producers are likely to have something sitting around if they need it. Capital will overcome good strategic thought most of the time.
