Yet high technology requires BIG investment. The corporations can be as stifling as a government.

A start-up requires an investment. The Environmentalist says, "let's have the government provide it, since the market won't."

This is based on the premise that a Politician, with a government clerks help, can be as good as a Capitalist at determining the right innovation to invest in.

I won't argue that, because I am sure you don't believe it. We have no shortage of capital for start ups. Read what is going on at "Tech Crunch" to get an idea of how much money is being poured into some pretty way-out ideas.

Look at Autos. What are the two hottest ideas going? The Toyota "Hybrid" and the "Tesla" sports car. Not a dime of government money behind either.

The meddling by the State of California in the Hybrid [they are giving it a pass for the diamond lane] is creating a mess out there. The past Government meddling, such as the GM all electric, was a disaster. Right now Arnold is meddling in providing Hydrogen stations for cars that don't, and never will, exist.

What we do have is people in DC who are busy-bodies and love to meddle in business. To the detriment of all of us. God save us all from Government "Social Engineering!"
