@Doug - Barcelona
When we speak about 20Mio. CPUs from AMD in Q3/Q4 (lets take this
number) - how would you descripe a product, which ships in
100K volume? That would be 1/200 or 0,5% of overall volume.
Would you descripe that volume shipment SIGNIFICANT, when we
take a view at the overall picture? Even if we take 200 or
300K Quad Cores (Opterons) in Q3, it will not change the
picture. Volume from this product compared to other products
would be small - thats given. So when Hector or Henry would say,
shipments will be significant, I would expect 10 or even
20%. Its clear, also to you, that AMD can't ship 2 or 4Mio.
Quadcores in the first quarter. Thats impossible. So all your
lines in regards to the Barcelona launch (volume) are crap
and you know that, but heh, as an Intelinvestor, I would try
to say the same and let the eyes close.
