The Dems had full control for decades and did consistently. If they get unlimimted power again, they'll do it again.

Nobody WANTS higher taxes.

Excuse me, but people who want the "Bush tax cuts" reversed, do want higher taxes.

Democrats are just the responsible party now when it comes to balancing the budget. Democrats have the wisdom to look out farther than the next election and see the financial train wreck coming down the line.

Oh bull, Clinton started out raising taxes and proposing a massive expansion of govt health care funding which would have prevented any movement toward budget balancing. His health care was defeated and the Republicans took control of Congress - thereafter he faced divided govt and couldn't do all that he would have wanted.
