It's hardly a "reward" to have less of one's hard earned money stolen.

I left that off purposely for this reason. Over time there has developed such a massive concentration of wealth in the hands of so few people, that generally speaking a tax cut will add to that group at the top disproportionately and a tax increase will take away from that same group disproportionately.

And I try to avoid using or thinking in terms of 'rewards, benefits or hurts' a group of people. It really is a matter of adds to or takes from because the rich aren't necessarily benefited by a tax cut....they already have enough. Likewise they aren't necessarily hurt by a tax increase because they have so much.

And using those kinds of words arouses class resentment on both sides, I think.
