I think you're right. I don't know even the staunchest Bush supporter who would characterize Iraq as a 'remarkable achievement'. The VP is becoming divorced from reality.

The nightmare scenario is a wacko assassin kills Bush, and Cheney becomes president. I cannot even imagine the horror of such an event. He'd be dropping nukes right and left on his imagined demons. Let's pray for a healthy Bush so that this nut never gets near the button...
