The comparable easy effort of assimilating former East Germany into Germany is already on it's second generation.

They, all Germans, were separated for less than 50 years.

Using that logic you would have doubted that black descendants of slaves cannot exist peacefully with descendants of slave owners in America, but they do.

It took what, five generations for that to begin happening in earnest?

Good point.

Why is that a good point?

Because I think the animosity that existed between ex slaves and their owners pales in comparison to the animosity between the Palestinians and Israelis. The slaves lost their freedom. The Palestinians lost their freedom, their land and their property to the Israelis.

5 generations is nothing in the Holy Land.

And I am saying it will take longer than 5 generations if ever.

Israel and Pal have been fighting for the past 3-4 generations, and the Jews and Muslims were fighting prior to that if you listen to the historian's posts. If Pasreal were likely to succeed within 5 generations we should be pursuing it aggressively starting today.

Go for it. I've given up on peace between the Israelis and the Palestinians. In any case, I think the Great White Man should give up trying to make it happen.
