I only know what the military says about this. They say they do advertise good news, but the reporters are only looking for bad news. And if any reporter sends in a positive story, his editors "fix" it. Did you hear about the TIME reporter who wrote some story of combat that his editors rewrote because it made the Marines sound "too heroic"?

Hard to believe the military is advertising good news. If they are, they are doing it poorly. How about a surge in that division of the military? Like, quadruple it?

If they are advertising good news, then every time a general is on TV he should be pointing out the 500 stories they advertised and the MSM ignored. Maybe they need to hire Rove to all get on topic....
