Gib, thanks much. I will try your approach & see if it works. This may be of interest to you in trading from afar. I have E-Trade and just received notice that I will have access to the foreign markets. ***New! Global Trading is coming to E*TRADE Securities.
Soon you'll be able to:
* Trade stocks in six global markets: Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, and the United Kingdom.
* Hedge U.S. dollar exposure with five global currencies.
* Add international diversification to your stock portfolio.
* Easily view and manage your Global Trading Account with your other account(s) at ETRADE.com.
* Get customer support from our specialized Global Trading desk.****
I can only think this as positive in the fact my portfolio is +90% 'pink'> being the Toronto, Oslo, & London exchanges, I will enjoy all the immediate on- time trades on the TSX & the other benefit will be more people will access the on- line trading making what I own the more scarcer. Maybe this does not make sense to the casual observer, but so far so good for me. I just hope I don't get too greedy or the whole thing goes to sh*t.
