I think Gainskeeper had a trial option also, so they will probably be okay with a refund. I've used them for a number of years without hassle, but if Tradelog is better I'll stop recommending them. Hope it works out for you.

As far as tax format stuff goes, I use TaxAct, and IB talks to Gainskeeper which talks to TaxAct in such a way that I just print out a copy for my records and hit a button to submit the return. However, your situation may be sufficiently different from mine so that this would not work for you. Actually, since I've started trading index futures this past year I'm going to have to do it a little differently myself, since Gainskeeper doesn't do futures.

As of last year, Tradelog was not able to download Schwab data automatically - you had to down load the Schwab data page by page.

If this has changed, Schwab customers would do well with Tradelog. Because of the problems last year I gave up on Tradelog.
