Perhaps some people never learned that old nursery rhyme...

If wishes were horses
beggars would ride
and if turnips were watches
I'd carry one by my side
and if "ifs" and "ands"
were pots and pans
there's be no need for tinkers

I know you think the world would sit by and let another Hitler emerge.....but I don't. I don't share this dark world view that you and the Cheney's of the world have.

Kate, Iran is a large country with 80 million people. Its current president is a religious nut who says Israel must be wiped off the map, America must be destroyed, the Holocaust never happend, and the Mahdi will return within two years. Unless he is restrained by cooler heads (and the Grand Ayatollah is dying, who knows who will succeed him?), Ahmedinijad is a war waiting to happen. For him, not only would it fulfill the will of Allah (the Mahdi's return is supposed to be fortold by terrible wars), but it would answer his question of how to control his restive, unemployed and YOUNG population.

And soon he will have nukes. Maybe this year, maybe next.

No this is not quite like Hitler. Hitler hid his intentions. Ahmedinijad feels free to proclaim them.

You call it dark, I call it realistic.
