Shares of Sirius, meanwhile, which just a year and a half ago were worth less than XM’s, had leaped, partly on the back of high-profile deals like the one it signed with Howard Stern.

Exactly.. Yet, somehow.. You have gone on an on about what a horrible deal the Stern contract was. However, only #~350 miillion has been payed out, and Sirius management monitized the delta of almost 1 BILLION dollars in the market cap into shareholder value, and used it to buy XM.. Something Sirius never could have done without the Stern deal. Mr. Ray will never be able to claim that the Stern Deal was horrible for Sirius shareholders anymore.
