Whoever is the next President has to deal with the CURRENT situation. That should be obvious but is not, listening to Hillary and Edwards and Obama campaign.

All I can say, if the Dems think the current situation is hopeless due to Republican errors, then they shouldn't want the Presidency, where they will be expected to actually cope with it in real-time, instead of sit on the sidelines carping and posturing.
