When have you EVER seen significant selling and table pounding/profit taking calls from them into ANY rally -- or near ANY top?

What's the point in trying to trade this?

I've been buying dips since 2001 and hardly ever selling.

Richard Russell says the best way to get rich is to take a big position early in a bull market and hang on tight. The smartest thing people can do is listen to him.

You've been calling a top since what, $380 PoG?

just a side note..............margin interest is up across the broad market, not unique to gold at this time.

You make very valid points.Several things bother me about the current stage of the latest gold bull move: 1) very large commercial shorts 2) Wild price predictions bandied about 3) Oil prices vulnerable approaching "shoulder season".4) Non confirmation by the leading miners; e.g.NEM, GG. I'm down to owning two miners and wont stay there too long. All these wild forecasts of $1000, $2000 are a waste of time. All I said in an earlier post was the recent rallies have been profitable for traders. I'm a trader, not a prophet.

Commodities prices have been aided by the prospect of smooth economic growth this year

I never found Woody Allan humorous. He always struck me as having lots of ambition, and this interfered with any sense of humour he might have had. His jokes always fell flat, about as funny as a bowl of vomit, and this was even before he showed the real type of person he was.

As regards doubling your chances, that works both ways. You can more then double your losses trying to catch the rapid down moves.

but yes, if the POG has more then a 20% correction and stays there for a week or two, it may be handy to have some cash to buy some.
