Because of the vast amount of iron ore (magnetite, Fe3O4, 72.36% iron) under the North Swedish old city of Kiruna, that's exactly what they now plan on doing in Sweden: Moving the city a couple of miles away!!

But if they discover oil under the city, who knows? Maybe they'd move it?

It would be easier to directionally/"horizontally" drill to it.
