Beats me. I suppose the NYT meant that the branch of the Nation of Islam changed over to othodox Islam, istead of some of wackier things they had been preaching, and stopped saying things like "white people are ice people born of the devil".

Of course they do: <Sunni Islam has teaching on Unity?> Surely you have seen how busy they are at it. They don't just talk about it like most other people who talk about togetherness, they DO it. Every day there is another bombing, head-hacking, torturing and other carnage directed against infidels, apostates and others who don't go along with Sunni unity. Everyone in the world shall belong to the one true faith and that's the one they propound. Anyone who doesn't go along with it will be sent directly to have discussions with Allah about their lack of faith in the one true unity, without passing "Go", without collecting 200 pounds and without 72 virgins at their service. Unity, thy name is Islam, especially Sunni; Shiite if in their zone. You'd better believe it, or else. Mqurice
