and your kind response "I'm not sure how that would work since I am assuming all of the stocks wouldn't fall at the same time." -- Indeed. I just wondered whether one could use this general concept using, say, the total value traded on the TSX Venture exchange (similar to watching its volume changes) to get a hint whether, for example, the annual "spring decline" of natural resource stocks has begun.
I'm probably off my rocker here; better cut down on sleep and study your fine tech hints in detail.
