Exactly my point, Elroy. You seem absolutely sure that 99.999% of Muslims are united in their belief that Israel should be "wiped off the map."

How are you so sure of that? Maybe the dissent would be a lot stronger if Muslim societies were more free? How come you're focused more on making Israel a more multicultural society, yet ignore the repressiveness of Israel's enemies?

Well, thanks at least for finally making your point clear. Whew, that took some time.

I'll agree many Muslims don't care a damn about Israel, they care about the same things that we do - feeding kids, staying healthy and getting a decent job. Sort of the same way that many Americans don't give a damn about North Korea - we're not there, so it's not on our mind all day long.

However, to the small extent that they do care, my hunch is worldwide Muslims are going to be opposed to the idea of a Jewish homeland which displaced a huge collection of Muslims, and which is attempting to annex control of Jerusalem. I've got no survey data, but common sense says it is accurate.

As for critisizing Israel's enemies, what's the point? It's like shooting fish in a barrel. I can point out flaws in Saudi Arabia's political system all day long. Who's going to take the other side? We haven't got any looney posters here who say "women should not drive", so who would I have this discussion with?

Presiding judge Abdul Majeed Al Nizami who pronounced the ruling yesterday said the defendant, A.B., will be deported after serving his term.

Girl lost in poker game by her father seeks help
Reuters

gulfnews.com

Hyderabad: A teenage girl in southern Pakistan, whose late father lost her in a poker game when she was 2 years old, has asked authorities to save her from being handed over to a middle-aged relative.

Rasheeda, 17, said she has filed applications with the police and a local councillor asking them to prevent Lal Haider, 45, from taking her to his home.

Her mother, Nooran said her husband racked up a debt of Rs10,000 (Dh605) to Haider playing cards.

"My husband didn't have money to pay, and instead he told Lal Haider that he could take Rasheeda when she grows up," she said.

Despite being paid his money last year, she said Haider still insisted the girl should be given to him because of tribal customs.

While both families live in Hyderabad, a city 160 kilometres north of the southern city of Karachi, they belong to the same tribe in Balochistan province.

The girl's uncle, Dur Mohammad said Haider apparently wanted to marry the girl to his son.

How can you possibly ask such a ridiculous question? Do you actually think there are more than 100 Muslims that think Israel should be allowed to live in peace in the ME?
