I think the threat to us will be less and less specifically from Iran, and more and more associated with an alliances forming among Iran, Russia, India, and China.

The joy of part of that alliance, is that Russia, India, and China already are facing problems with their Muslim Populations. OTOH much of their populations want to have what their relatives in the States have..... Those two different problems will keep them busy. OTOH North Americans are beginning to see the need for clean power and higher fuel efficiencies. developing those technolgies will give North Americans a whole new technology to merchandise to them.

IMO, we need to keep both Iran and NK from acquiring arms. Because we have lost some credibility in the ME with Iraq, I believe we should take out Kim Jon Mentally Il and send a message to Iran that indeed we are capable and serious about the threat posed by them.

Saber rattling will not work now with Iran.
