That's something like 500K per month entering the US. Now imagine we already have a higher population density. Imagine there is a lot of hatred for the US among the 500K new entrants each month. Imagine that its likely that some of them are terrorists. Do you want to take them in?

The question is not what I want, but whether it could bring peace to the region.

In the US's case as I understand we are already taking in Iraqi refugees. That's essentially the Pasreal plan, on a small scale.

And theoretically, Pasreal would essentially give the Palestinians what they want (the right of return). Reality may be different, but the bulk the reasons for their animosity toward Israel would be removed. Some may still object to the many Jewish immigrants in Israel, but one would hope that the Pasreal solution would be enough to overcome that objection.

Finally, if terrorism by new entrants into Pasreal is problematic, fine. Stop the transition program after a year, and expel all the recent entrants. It didn't work. There could be something like a 1 year probation program for new Pal refugees which have become citizens - if they are bringing chaos with them, they get booted right back out into the refugee hell of the territories.
