I'd be more worried about being left behind in a world responding to GW. For instance, if your state puts in a carbon tax, you might be a little prepared by making your own electricity and keeping some money in your pocket, as opposed to giving it to your state or the feds. And just cuz you don't like it doesn't mean it may not happen.

I still wanna know about those 1.3 billion souls in China and the 1.0 billion or so in India and countless others elsewhere. (You never answered me on that Wharfy)

They could give a shit about a "carbon tax" that Massachusetts or some other state decides to impose.

Assuming you are right, and GW is a man-made problem (which is something I have not accepted as fact), all the Toyota Priuses (don't forget battery disposal!) and carbon taxes imposed won't help one whit when faced with the unwashed billions who want THEIR piece of the global economic pie.
