According to EIA Sudan has proven oil reserves totaling 563 million barrels.

0.5-1.5 Bil Barrels ain't oil. Would last the world from 6- maybe 20 days, since we were using 85 MBPD in July/Aug. We would use more energy fighting for it than we would gain. Especially snce we would have to fight the Chinese to get it.
Now there's an idea. Why don't we get our good buddies the Chinese to bring peace? Cuz we don't care; ain't in our interest. EROEI on a grand scale. It ain't in our national interest to fight for half a billion barrels. That ain't oil.
