We have great economic opportunities here. Mexicans constantly risk their lives to get here. People run here all the time- especially if they know we'll take them. That just isn't evidence they would have been killed, Nadine.

The numbers of Mexicans who come 10K or so a year, is already evidence that there is something wrong with Mexico. And as you say, the US in an attractive safe haven, if you can get there. If 500,000 came in one year, it would be evidence that there was something very wrong with Mexico. If 500,000 came in one year, when there was no United States, just a pirate infested ocean, it would be evidence that something was desperately wrong with Mexico.

So much is just common sense.

Ilaine already posted evidence substantiating about 200,000 deaths. This doesn't count deaths caused by starvation to the wrong class of people, a staple feature of forced collectivization.

I repeated the claim I had heard "a million dead and a million fled". Don't know if I can find proof for that, thought with 200,000 estimated dead by execution and death camps, and over 500,000 fled as boat people, we are clearly in the same ballpark here.

Why don't you read the stories of some of people who escaped, before saying silly things about how there was no evidence?
