Hedge funds don't fold after one bad day; many only bill annually, and they keep getting management fees through December 31 if they don't wind up their fund now.

There may be a few that were too long and leveraged and can't make their margin calls. But those will be the small fry who were desperate for performance after mediocre returns in 2006.
