The thread's rules and oversight will need structure and teeth, otherwise it will implode or explode rather than be productive.

It is interesting to observe the rational patterns and techniques of argumentation practiced by extremists. It indicates in the extreme, IMHO at least, where they are coming from. Of course, I am admittedly pro Judeo-Christian and not agnostic.
