Phily, I answered this yesterday but here we go again:

To answer your question my current position is to Hold unless of course you don't have any yet, in that case my recommendation is to buy, take up a position before it gets to $35.00 but not a full position until the Geopolitical situation becomes a lot clearer.

Short of getting something from the horses mouth (Acosta or Correa) buy signals could come via CTQ or DMM making headway with their projects.

I still highly recommend not to become fully invested until the government shows some signs of keeping their hands off mining.

Take up a position now but save the rest for a less risky time. I stand behind my position that this stock is stuck below $40.00.

I will qualify this opinion with the following Caveats.

The POG stays within 10% of today's value, the resources are not significantly upgraded and the Government do not clarify the future rules for the mining Industry (or show positive signs like letting CTQ get back to business or issuing DMM some permits).

If none of the aforementioned occurs there is no way this stock goes past $40.00. And there is no way a take out will happen north of $40.00.

Conversely if one or more of the above Caveats do occur, investors will have ample opportunity to get in before $40.00 and they will do it with less risk.

All of course IMHO and I am not a Pro so take it for what its worth.

GLTA lets hope tomorrow is a better day.

I think from my posts on this thread, and of buys and PF weighting comments on CD's thread, it is clear that I have been and am very excited and positive about this stock and it's find. It is interesting that I post a mildly negative outlook on one PR and the dialectic demagoguery starts.

Yer either with us or agin us. No in between views aloud.

I originally bought based on exploration potential, and have continued to buy, and have for awhile been heavily overweight ARU. I turned positive on a fundamental basis, in addition to the exploration outlook, in late January:

that just makes things all the better. Now its just a matter of placing bets on what the buyout price will be and trying to trade it before then if you are a trader. Every one has their own style, and lot's of different styles work. Good fun.

I find it absurd that wariness of the political situation in Ecuador is maligned. Looks ok for now, but merits watching. I said quite a ways back that I thought the exploration/geologic risk had largely been removed, and that the major risk issue to watch was the gov. Think that more then ever, although I have been lax in following those developments.

Investing in this stock is an individually unique question as it is for all stocks, that's how I look at it, so I just try and post my positions and views for others use as another data point.
