If the Jews had all moved to Bhutan and taken over in 1948, I'll bet you they would have had peace from 1948.5 to today. :-)

Somehow I doubt it. And Palestine was really the back end of nowhere when the Zionists first began to develop it. It had been so badly mismanaged by the Ottomans that nobody could make a living there and 80% of the land had reverted to the government when the owners couldn't pay the taxes. In the mid-19th century, the area that became the Mandate of Palestine in 1922 probably had fewer than 400,000 people in it, maybe even less. Today the same area has over 9 million.
