Yeah, fair enough. Its sort of like if you have one lunatic holding two adults hostage for two weeks, you try to negotiate for a while and get fed up, so you shoot the lunatic from 200m away with a rifle, then before you can cross the 200m one of the hostages kills the other. OK, I guess the rifle shooter is sort of responsible for the dead hostage. If you hadn't killed the lunatic, the one hostage wouldn't have killed the other. Yup. Ok. Nevertheless, I put most of the blame for the hostage death on his killer, not on the rifle shooter.
